Ìý Men in skirts Friday 8 February 2002 Ìý
Some of the world's sexiest men have worn them - Mick Jagger in the 60s, David Bowie in the 70s and Kurt Cobain in the 80s. But are we ever likely to see the British man going to work in a pinstripe skirt-suit?

As a new exhibition called Men in Skirts at the V&A opens, Sheila talks to curator Andrew Bolton to find out about the history of the male skirt. She also talks to Claudia Croft, fashion editor of the Sunday Times Style section, to ask whether skirts will ever become a fashion reality.
The Men in Skirts exhibition is on view from 8th February 2002 to 12th May 2002 in the V&A Dress Gallery
Andrew Bolton's book Men in Skirts will be published by V&A Publications in June 2002 (Hardback, £19.95)
