Clothes Swap Fashion 11 Mar 2009
Why clothes swapping parties are gaining in popularity

At last there’s a hint of Spring in the air, but fashion is always a couple of seasons ahead – so the models on the catwalk in Paris this week are showing for Autumn and Winter. Not many of us could afford the haute couture on show, it’s pretty alarming when you see how much things cost in the shops. Which may be why clothes swapping parties are gaining in popularity. Like so many of us, Henrietta Harrison had loads of stuff that either doesn’t fit or she never should have bought in the first place, but might look great on one of her friends; Amanda, Steph, Jess, Victoria or Tania. They also brought things they’d like to trade in. The psychologist Nadine Fields listened in as they stripped off, tried on and eventually headed home with a new wardrobe.
