Carly Simon was born into a musical family and started her singing career as one part of ‘The Simon Sisters’. After going solo, she went on to have many successful records including You’re so Vain, though even now she refuses to say who she wrote the song about. She also sang the James Bond theme song, Nobody Does it Better, and in 1988 she won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Grammy for Let The River Run - the opening theme song she wrote and performed for the film Working Girl. Carly talks to Jane about herÌýnew album andÌýher life in music.ÌýShe is also joined by her band, which includes her son, Ben, for a live performance of You’re so Vain.

'Never Been Gone' by Carly Simon is available now on the Rhino label. Ìý
