Testing, Testing

Tests have become as much a part of life for working adults as for schoolchildren.

In a quest to make better use of their human capital companies are increasingly trying to understand what kind of people work for them. For employees - or job applicants - that can mean a barrage of psychometric tests in an effort to find out if they're likely to work hard or fit in with their team mates.

Advocates of these questionnaires say they can give us all a better understanding of what we enjoy doing and why we find some people so hard to get along with.
