Another look at innovation this week, more specifically the growing importance of "business angels", providing money to turn bright ideas into viable companies.

Csaba Truckai - trying to raise backing for a company called Surg-r-X, which he hopes will soon be producing a revolutionary sort of high tech wound-closing device for use in surgery.

Hans Severiens, Mary Falvey and Fred Hoar - multi-millionaire would-be investors involved in the Band of Angels in America.

John Mallard - founder of Portal Player, an audio technology company creating things such as the desktop computer juke box .

David Giampaulo - an American in London who runs a newly merged operation called Pi Capital & VCR, which seeks out and advises start-ups in search of angel money.

Jamie Sheldon - chairman of Immersive Education, a small new Oxford company making CD-Roms incorporating interactive storyboards.

Jason Purcell - founder of the start-up advisors FirstStage Capital

Andy Bottomley - the high technology investment expert of Wedge Capital in London
