Rescue work continues in Mozambique

Flood waters are still rising in Mozambique in the wake of Cyclone Idai, submerging large swathes of the country. Rescue work has continued overnight to reach those who've been left stranded.

MySpace, one of the first online social networks, has apologised after a server migration caused a huge loss of data. A message on its website says that "any photos, videos and audio files" uploaded more than three years ago may no longer be available.

New Zealand's prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, has said she will never utter the name of the gunman who killed fifty people at mosques in Christchurch. In an emotional address to parliament, she urged New Zealanders to remember those who died, rather than someone she described as a terrorist who sought notoriety.
