President Trump Visits Southern Border as Government Shutdown Continues

He reiterated support for building a southern border wall which Congress refuses to fund.

President Donald Trump has been visiting Southern Texas to meet with border officials. Despite opposition to his wish to build a southern border wall, particularly from Democrats, Mr. Trump reiterated his stance.

In Bangladesh, tens of thousands of garment factory workers have been on strike this week over the minimum wage. Unions are due to hold more talks with the government and factory owners over the weekend.
