‘I was hiding my hair loss for a long time’

For many, hair is more than just part of their appearance - it’s a reflection of personality, style, identity, and self-expression.

But what happens when you start losing it?

Hair loss comes in many forms, from thinning to complete loss. It can happen suddenly or over time, and it’s said to affect many women at some point in their lives.

Katie O’Callaghan, who experienced hair loss and ultimately chose to undergo a hair transplant, joined Nuala McGovern on ±«Óãtv Radio 4's Woman's Hour to discuss her experience, alongside hair stylist Michael Douglas, whose new YouTube series, Hair Stories, explores women’s unique hair stories.

You can listen to the full discussion on ±«Óãtv Sounds - it’s the Woman’s Hour episode from 1 October.
