Rishi Sunak has said he will press ahead with plans to send asylum seekers to Rwanda - despite the policy being ruled unlawful by the Supreme Court. The Prime Minister said a new legally-binding treaty was being agreed with Kigali, and he remained committed to his pledge to "stop the boats" which have brought thousands of migrants across the Channel. The five justices on the UK's highest court said that there was a real risk anyone sent to Rwanda could be returned to their home country to face persecution - and said the country had a poor record on human rights.
