Students from Suffolk and Essex share their work for the 2023 Dora Love prize.

Dora Love, a Holocaust survivor, spent much of her life raising awareness that the attitudes which made the Holocaust possible – intolerance, discrimination and outright hatred of those who are regarded as ‘different' for whatever reason, are still alive all around us.

In this Tuesday Takeover, Jon Wright hears from students at Debenham High School (pictured), Northgate High School in Ipswich, Sir Frederick Gibberd College in Harlow and Colchester County High School for Girls.

Dora Love died on 26 October 2011, but the Dora Love Prize continues her work. It is awarded each year for the best Holocaust awareness project by an individual pupil or group of pupils of a school in Essex or Suffolk – primary, secondary or sixth-form college.

Over 200 school students took part in the launch of the 2023 Dora Love Prize at the University of Essex, who will host a Prize-giving event in June 2023.
