The last Nuremberg prosecutor dies
Ben Ferencz, the last prosecutor at the Nazi war crimes trials has died at the age of 103. He was the chief prosecutor in the case against SS death squads in the Nuremberg trials. Mr Ferencz was born to a Romanian Jewish family that emigrated to the US. He later studied law at Harvard. Professor Philippe Sands, a leading international human rights lawyer, knew him well. He spoke to Weekend’s Julian Worricker.
