Virtual treatment for young patients
Hospital bosses in Dudley have set up the UK's first virtual ward to treat children at home. It works by allowing doctors to monitor patients remotely, with parents entering vital information at home using a special tablet. More than 100 young patients, who no longer require acute care at Russells Hall Hospital, have so far used the virtual ward.
