Faith versus medicine in Ghana

Antenatal care ensures that pregnancy causes no harm to the mother and the developing baby is kept healthy. This care is in most cases provided by health facilities with skilled birth attendants. But in Ghana, some pregnant women believe that prayer camps offer better chances of survival for them and their babies. Health experts and officials are concerned that these camps may be contributing to the maternal deaths burden in the country. Dorcas Wangira brings us the story of Faith versus medicine in Ghana.
