Dave Ellis and his guide Luke Pollard, from Telford, will be looking to top off a brilliant year in their final race of the season in the World Triathlon Championship series in Abu Dhabi this weekend.
At the age of 16, sports mad Dave was told he was going blind.
Luke, who serves in the RAF, was selected to be Dave鈥檚 permanent guide in 2019 and since then the pair have become great friends off the course while striking up a formidable partnership on it.
The pair who won Commonwealth Games gold this summer, will be looking to finish their year unbeaten, and in the best position for qualification for the next Olympic games.
Luke has been talking to our reporter Mary-Kate Wheeldon about their preparation.
