How the Kamba community in Kenya practice traditional surrogacy?

There are two types of surrogacy, traditional and gestational. The primary difference is the surrogate’s biological connection to the child or lack thereof. In traditional surrogacy, the surrogate doubles as the egg donor and is the biological mother of the baby she is carrying. This type is less common, but it is most preferred in the Kamba community in Eastern Kenya. They however do it differently and the surrogate mother is married to the woman seeking her surrogacy services. ±«Óătv's Grace Kuria spent a day with a family from this community and here is the story.
