The Ukraine War - On the front line

±«Óãtv correspondent Quentin Sommerville on the "the miracle" pulled off by Ukrainian troops repelling the enemy advance in the second-biggest city, Kharkiv.

Three weeks into Russia's war on Ukraine there's been another significant attack in the west of Ukraine - an aircraft repair facility on the perimeter of the airport in Lviv, the city where many thousands of Ukrainians have gone in search of safety, has been bombed. It seems every corner is now under attack.

Some safe routes out of besieged areas - like Mariupol - have been used to get civilians out. Russia’s defence ministry says it is 'tightening the noose' around Mariupol. It’s a key location in the south which, if it falls, could provide the Russians with a clear route past Crimea to the port of Odesa. Ukraine’s second city Kharkiv has been the constant target of Russian attacks for three weeks. For 5 Minutes On, ±«Óãtv correspondent Quentin Sommerville and cameraman Darren Conway have been to the front line in Kharkiv where Ukrainian troops continue to the repel the enemy advance.
