Bringing people together from different cultures and communities in Suffolk and Norfolk.

This week we mark International Women's Day and whole month on the show, by celebrating amazing women across our region.

Suffolk Archives held a day long event as part of the celebrations and Cad Taylor spent the day capturing conversations with those who attended.

Tonia Wilson, of WASSUP project (Women Against Sexual Exploitation and Violence Speak UP) ran a workshop on the day, and then came to chat with Cad, along with Jo and Kelly, who attended that workshop, to reflect and discuss the issues.

We also heard from other local women who shared powerful thoughts, including Yvonne Edge, who talked about activism and her life in campaigning.

Sophie, Shan and Ruth, from THIS GIRL CAN, a Sport England campaign, which first launched in 2015 works to inspire and empower women to participate in sport and physical activity, regardless of their shape, size or ability.

Lastly we spoke to21 year old EU Ju jitsu champion, Betriz Fernandes, who lives here in Ipswich. Bea has just returned from competing in Rome and wil head to the World Championships in California in June!
