The Earthshot Prize - the one million pound awards to help mend the planet
Costa Rica and two best friends who grow coral are among the five winners. The annual awards - created by Prince William - reward projects trying to save the planet.
It was not your average red carpet event. Not a new, expensive designer outfit was in sight. The Earthshot prize award ceremony attracted plenty of A-list actors and musicians, along with royalty and of course, Sir David Attenborough. But the stars of this show were the winners of Prince William's new environmental award - people who're trying to save the planet. They're mostly small ventures - but ones with big potential. They include two best friends who grow coral in the Bahamas to restore reefs, Costa Rica which has doubled the number of its trees, the city of Milan which is collecting unused food and giving it to people who need it and a project battling the issues contributing to air pollution in India.
No celebrities flew to London for the ceremony, no plastic was used to build the stage and guests were asked to "consider the environment" when choosing an outfit .
