lau.ra is the latest project from Coventry-born, Brockley-based producer, DJ and vocalist Laura Bettinson. Before turning her hand to electronic music, lau.ra made her name as alt-pop artist FEMME and one third of experimental rock group Ultraísta alongside Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. She has also lent her voice to tracks from electronic heavyweights ODESZA and Golden Features. Now, her self-described wonky dance floor heaters have had us up and moving every time they hit the airwaves.

Growing up surrounded by Motown, soul and alternative rock, it wasn't until lau.ra moved to London at the age of 18 to study music that she was first introduced to performance and electronic artists. Increasingly influenced by these sounds, it was lau.ra's experiences as a pop artist that drove her to learn how to produce music as she grew frustrated by the failure of others to capture her vision. With such an eclectic background and dedication to music making, it is no surprise that she has been churning out banger after banger over the last twelve months.

Having released her first single ‘Sideways’ in early 2020, lau.ra's got loads up her sleeve in the coming months, including a vinyl collection of her own tracks and a few exciting remixes.
