Teenager on frontline in Calais migrant camps

When the French Government announced its coronavirus lockdown in March, most charities supporting the hundreds of migrants living rough in northern France, were forced to pull out. But a small band of volunteers have remained in Calais to provide food and shelter. Tia Bush, 18, who volunteers with the charity Care 4 Calais, says conditions which were already squalid, have been made unbearable by the lockdown. She says with reduced access to food and support, migrants are becoming more desperate and the volunteers on the ground are struggling to meet demand. Film produced by Ellie Layhe.
