The MUAs take on London Fashion Week, joining the make-up team for successful brand House of Holland. At Glow Up HQ, they must impress by creating looks based on their idols.

In the second episode, the nine remaining MUAs hit London Fashion Week, as they are booked to do the make-up for the incredibly successful brand House of Holland. Joining this week as guest judge is the brand’s creator and fashion designer, Henry Holland.

Henry has collaborated with Glow Up judge Dominic Skinner on a make-up design that the MUAs will have to replicate. Dominic is the key make-up designer for the show and the MUAs’s boss for the day.

After a demonstration, the MUAs are thrown straight in at the deep end, working under pressure and with tight deadlines to deliver the high standard Dominic expects for London Fashion Week.

The next day, the MUAs gather at Glow Up HQ to find out which two were judged to have performed the worst at London Fashion Week. They start the day in the red Face Off chairs and with a 15-minute time penalty in the Creative Brief. For these two MUAs, the only way to escape the elimination Face Off at the end of the show is to wow the judges in the Creative Brief, hope another MUA fails to impress and take their place.

This week’s Creative Brief sees the MUAs challenged to create a look that represents their own personal icon, who could be famous, fictional, a fantasy or someone they know.

It’s a battle of the Bowies as two MUAS base their look on David Bowie, risks are taken in creating a 3D Mulan-inspired make-up using play dough, and after a previous tough judgement, one MUA needs to work extra hard to impress.

The judges give feedback and deliberate over which two MUAs produced the weakest looks before revealing who will go head to head in the elimination Face Off - a make-up skill drill under intense time pressure, where they are tasked with creating realistic freckles. Following this, one MUA packs up their make-up kit and leaves the competition.
