Father of the American cavalry

Casimir Pulaski was born in Poland. He’s considered a hero of the American revolutionary war, and he’s often referred to as the 'Father of the American Cavalry.' Pulaski's skeletal remains were exhumed some years ago from beneath a monument to him in Savannah in the state of Georgia. That gave scientists a chance to do a full forensic analysis and they discovered that his skeleton has female characteristics. Anthropologist Virginia Hutton Estabrook tells us about this unexpected tale of gender and identity.
