Minister under fire over Ramsgate ferry contract

The Transport Secretary, Chris Grayling, has defended a decision to give a £14 million contract to UK firm Seaborne Freight to provide extra ferry services from Ramsgate to Ostend in the event of a "no deal" Brexit.

Labour has strongly criticised the contract - and Mr Grayling - saying the company had no ships, no crews, no contract with Ostend and no experience of running ferry services.

Simon Jones reports.
