John - aka Christopher Saynt - is from Glasgow, and is proud to be Scotland’s first out gay amateur wrestler. The 26-year-old has been wrestling for eight years, but credits his recent career success directly to the confidence he gained from coming out – despite the homophobia he initially had to face from some fans. He now includes his drag queen partner and friends in his matches, serving as inspiration for others to accept their own sexuality too.
