MONDAY 1st OCT
Tonbridge Library is proud to announce that best-selling author and television presenter Alan Titchmarsh will visit the library on Monday 1st October from 7pm for a talk, book sale and book signing.
Alan Titchmarch is known to millions through his career as a television presenter of shows including Gardeners' World, Love Your Garden, The Chelsea Flower Show and The Alan Titchmarsh Show.
Tickets to the event at Tonbridge Library cost £8, including refreshments.
Booking is essential and tickets can be purchased at the library.

North Tonbridge Horticultural Society meets again on Monday evening at 8 at St Philip's Church, Salisbury Road.
Laurence Hobbs of Laurence Hobbs Orchids will be giving a potting demonstration and holding an orchid clinic. Bring your patients along!
All are welcome, non members £1 on the door.

TUESDAY 2nd OCTOBER
Otford Gardeners Society welcome Melanie Gibson-Barton to Otford Village Memorial Hall on the High Street as she takes us on a tour around 'the Parks and Gardens of Flanders'.

WEDNESDAY 3rd OCT
Great Mongeham Horticultural Society will be holding their monthly meeting in the Parish Hall commencing at 7.30pm. It's the Autumn soup evening so members are reminded to bring soup bowls and spoons! Soup will be provided by the committee. Also members are asked to bring in a dahlia bloom which they have been growing from a cutting provided earlier in the year.

St Dunstan's Horticultural Society welcome Steve Edney for a talk about the flooding of the Salutation Garden.
The meeting starts at 7.45pm at the ARCA Hall, Thanington near Canterbury

Faversham Horticultural Society have their committee meeting at 3.30 in the afternoon at The Age UK Centre in Middle Row, Faversham.

Hoath and District Gardening Society have Denis Vickers at their meeting, who will present his experiences, 'A Funny Thing Happened at the Show'. It all starts at 7.30pm at Hoath Village Hall and visitors will be warmly welcomed.

THURSDAY 4th OCT
Kilndown Gardening Club meet in the Quarry Centre at 7.45pm.
The guest speaker is Dr. Mick Lynn on the subject of The Effect of Climate Change on Gardening
Visitors welcome, £2 at the door.

Allington Garden Club meet from 7.30 at St Nicholas Church Hall in Poplar Grove, Allington for a talk on roses by Susan Scrivens

Istead Rise Gardeners Club hold their October meeting at The Memorial Hall on Lewis Road - it's 7pm for a 7.30 start and visitors, hopefully potential new members, are £4.

Maidstone Horticultural Society will be starting its winter season with a talk by Martyn Flint, "All About Chrysanthemums". An expert on chrysanthemums, Martyn was awarded a Gold Medal at RHS Chelsea 2017. If you want to learn more about these beautiful autumn plants, come along to the Baptist Church Hall, Knightrider Street at 7.30 p.m. There will be a raffle as well as refreshments during the interval. Visitors will be very welcome. It's £2.00 entry.

Alpine Garden Society Mid Kent Group welcome the SPEAKER MIKE BRETT for a talk on NORTHERN BOTANICAL GARDENS.
It's at MADGINFORD HALL, EGREMONT ROAD, BEARSTED from 7-30pm FOR an 8pm START.
VISITORS WELCOME, RAFFLE, TEA & CAKE.

SATURDAY 6th OCT
Hadlow Gardeners Society hold their Autumn Social - it's in The Old School Hall from 8.

The Lower Hardres & Nackington Gardeners Society are holding their
Autumn Show in the John Baker-White Memorial Hall,Lower Hardres from 3pm.All welcome to view displays of late summer flowers,vegetables,floral art,cookery and children' s section with home made teas and raffle,books and plant stalls.
