Mama C: 'The loneliness can be cutting'

Popular vlogger Candice Brown-Brathwaite, also known as Mama C, intends to approach things differently when her second child is born.

“One thing that affected me more than postnatal depression or the struggle with my mental health, was loneliness as a new mum.”

Candice was prescribed antidepressants after her first child, Esme, was born.

“The loneliness can be cutting.”

“You’ve got to have the right support system in place and you’ve got your friends around you.”

“You’ve got to be best first and foremost.”
