Heather Rabbatts: Dan Ashworth’s FA role untenable
Former FA board member Dame Heather Rabbatts says Dan Ashworth's position as FA technical director is 'untenable' following the racism row involving Eniola Aluko and ex women's team manager Mark Sampson.
Ashworth has been at the FA since 2012 and helped appoint Sampson – who was sacked last month after evidence of "inappropriate and unacceptable" behaviour with female players in a previous role.
Rabbatts said that Ashworth must take responsibility for the lack of diversity, the "mono-culture" at the FA and the National Football Centre at St Georges Park and these are issues she's tackled him on during her time at English football's governing body.
