Faiza and Lauren: Two Sides of the Same Coin
Friends Faiza and Lauren are from different parts of the country; Faiza was brought up in Manchester and Lauren in Doncaster.
They're also from different faith backgrounds. Lauren's a Christian and Faiza's a Muslim, but they have much that unites them - not least their love of Sherlock Holmes and the Harry Potter books!
Lauren wrote about their friendship in a Facebook post that ended up going viral and being used as part of an anti-hate campaign. Here they reflect on the impact of that post and recall how they first met at University.
