The Chair of the Women and Equalities Committee, Maria Miller, tells Alicia McCarthy what her committee wants to see done to increase the number of women MPs.

There are currently 195 women in the Commons - compared to 455 men.

The committee suggests that, in future, if parties don't ensure that 45 percent of their candidates at a general election are women, they should face fines.

Alicia McCarthy asks if that would have a serious impact on smaller parties.
