Ghana awaits the outcome of a key presidential election. Once a beacon of hope for Sub-Saharan Africa, the country's lately been labouring with debt, power cuts and rising prices. Cheap global oil, cocoa and gold prices haven't helped. So can a new government reverse the problems? We hear from commentator and tech entrepreneur, Bright Simons, in Accra.

Also in the programme, we look at the emerging technology around taste and smell. Scientists in Belgium are using robots to attempt to codify the tastes of beer, and a US start-up, Aromyx, says it's now cracked the digital code of aroma and flavour. We hear from its founder and CEO, Chris Hanson, and a more sceptical note from Charles Spence, a professor of experimental psychology at Oxford University.
