Wiltshire Walkers want path to be public

People have been walking at Luccombe Mill in Bratton near Westbury, for more than 60 years, but new land owner Henry Pelly has put up barbed wire and signs to block the route.

Nearly 80 Wiltshire walkers are applying to Wiltshire Council to have the private footpath 'Watercress Walk' made public.

Three of them, Jo Humphry, Katherine Beaumont and Phillip Workman, are behind the application and they met with ±«Óãtv Wiltshire's Ben Prater to say what makes the walk so special.

According to the law, if a private footpath has been used for more than 20 years by the public, then users can apply for it to become a public right of way.
