Five top tips for dealing with an angry bear

Residents of the Canadian city of Fort McMurray are set to return to their homes after a massive wildfire earlier this month. But they've been warned to watch out for 300-pound black bears prowling the streets for food.

Dan LeGrandeur from Bear Scare, a Canadian company that says it 'resolves human/bear conflicts', says the black bears came out of hibernation a month ago, and are now looking to breed and eat.

"The fires destroyed a lot of their natural sources," he says, "so they are in some of these areas, where we live, looking for something to eat."

Here are his top tips if you're ever faced with a 300-pound black bear.
