Two Hmong American filmmakers shake up Hollywood

Abel and Burlee Vang managed to get around the mostly white Hollywood community by turning to their own community, Hmong Americans. Hmong Americans financed their project, 'Bedevilled', which was recently sold to Voltage Pictures, the company that produced 'The Hurt Locker' and 'Dallas Buyers Club'. The Vang brothers, whose parents are refugees from Laos, are likely the first Hmong filmmakers to achieve such success in the United States.
