Household Chemistry - toothpaste
A look at the ingredients of toothpaste and how they encourage good oral hygiene. Up until the Second World War tooth powders were used to clean teeth. Black tea was found to protect teeth but would often stain them, hence the abrasive toothpastes containing fluoride were developed.
