The Oscar-nominated film shot in the Amazon

Ciro Guerra's film Embrace of the Serpent is set in the back of beyond - way, beyond. It is the first feature shot in the Amazon rainforest in more than 30 years. It is also Colombia's first-ever Oscar-nominated film for Best Foreign Language Film. Guerra says shooting deep in the Amazon was an other-worldly experience. Take, for instance, the day on set when he encountered a spider with what looked like a human face.
