Weber's Consumption

When Weber moved to London he knew he was dying of tuberculosis

When Weber moved to London he knew he was dying of tuberculosis. The composer had long been suffering what in the 19th Century was dubbed 'consumption'. He was buried back in Germany 18 years after his death with fellow composer Richard Wagner arranging the posthumous homecoming and the music for the funeral.
