Manchester Airport is one of the busiest in the UK, handling over 21 million passengers every year.

Keeping the airport running smoothly and safely is a daily challenge especially for the air traffic control team who have to keep calm from their vantage point on top of the main Control Tower.

Amongst the potential hazards they've had to deal with include bad weather, thunder storms, bird strikes, stray animals and aircraft malfunctions.

Presenter Dianne Oxberry has exclusive access to the air traffic control tower at Manchester Airport on the busiest weekend of the year.
