Feeding Taiwan's endangered black bear
Taiwan's Formosan black bear is endangered. Only about 400 of them exist in the wild, compared with the panda which has an estimated 2,000 bears.
The Pingtung Rescue Centre, part of the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, looks after orphaned or abandoned bears and carries out research into improving conservation methods.
