Seventy years on from that original broadcast, journalist Alex Last set out to find what happened to the named children. His search resulted in a collection of untold stories of how these young victims rebuilt their lives. For listeners across the world, it was powerful and moving listening which sparked off more questions about how the survivors were traced.
