Politician and a pizza: Labour's Seema Mahotra

As part of 5 live's "Friday Takeover", the Stephen Nolan programme has invited candidates from the major parties to face a panel of voters in their own homes, to be grilled on a range of issues that matter to them.

Labour candidate Seema Mahotra was the first candidate to be interviewed, in the marginal constituency Southampton Itchen.

As part of the conversation, she was asked by presenter Stephen Nolan and 5 live listener Roger whether Labour would go into coalition with the SNP - and what the implication of the SNP obtaining a significant number of MPs could be.

Seema Mahotra refused to rule out working informally with the SNP, and said that Labour hopes to "win back significant support" in Scotland.

Over the coming weeks, candidates from all the major parties will similarly be interviewed by a panel of voters in a marginal consitutency as part of the "Friday Takeover".
