Fifty Shades, Eurovision and the perils of an older parent

How prudish is Shropshire? Jim considers the “Fifty Shades” phenomenon; Eurovision down under? And, when being an older parent makes your child a young carer.

Ahead of the release of the movie “Fifty Shades of Grey”, Jim discusses with listeners their reaction to the book. And, later-life parenthood; when Charles Lambert was born, his father was already 64. After a childhood overshadowed by his father’s ill-health, Charles became a young carer.
