Campaigners in Wrenbury say plans for a 200-berth marina on the Shropshire Union Canal will turn the village into a 'car-park for boats'. Developers say it would boost local businesses and add another facet to the area's character, but opponents aren't convinced.

Also It's deadline day for bids to buy Shrewsbury's old prison. The building's been viewed by more than a dozen potential buyers. Various uses have been rumoured including flats, a hotel or offices - or even turning it into a tourist attraction.
