Do women still face a glass ceiling in the workplace? Should quotas be used to break it?
These are among the questions that we ask a panel of five successful women from the world of business and diplomacy in today's Business Daily programme, for the 鲍鱼tv's 100 Women conference.
The guests include Mmasekgoa Masire-Mwamba, the Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Moe Thuzar, the most senior television executive in Burma, and the social anthropologist Michaela Bergman, who is responsible for gender issues at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Also in the programme, we hear the extraordinary life story of Sreymom Ang, a fashion designer from Cambodia who began life making a living with her family by picking over a rubbish dump.
We also speak to Rubana Huq, who runs a garment-manufacturing business in Bangladesh, and who has agreed to act as Sreymom's mentor as part of the 100 Women programme. She tells us about the importance that the textiles sector has had in her country in bringing women into the workforce.
