He's spent four years searching in the Western Carribean and claims to have found a wreck containing gold and silver worth $500 million. It sounds thrilling but the reality of treasure hunting can be less than glamorous. The aptly named veteran treasure hunter Rex Cowan left a comfortable life behind when he gave up his job as a lawyer almost half a century ago to dedicate himself to seeking out wrecks and their valuable cargos. His advice is "don't expect to get rich quick".
