Rabindrasangeet in Manchester
Rishi Banerjee was born and raised in Manchester and has been singing since the age of three.
Under the guidance of his two gurus, his mother Balluri Bannerjee and family friend Hitendanath Misra he learnt the art of Rabindrasangeet, the compositions of Bengali poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore.
In 2006, Rishi set up his own arts group Moksha, promoting Bengali music, Indian classical music and dance.
