Kent parents owed more than £72m in child maintenance

John and Clare with the latest news, travel, and weather, plus stories from around Kent.

Parents in Kent are owed more than £72m in child maintenance payments - according to data seen by ±«Óãtv Radio Kent.

The figures from the Child Support Agency have been released as the Government promises to take action against absent parents who fail to support their children (06:07, 07:07 and 08:07).

A Kent coroner has criticised the ambulance service for taking too long to intervene in the case of a dying woman, who was having a psychotic episode in her home.

Patricia Harding said that if the paramedics had gone into the house earlier, the woman's life might have been saved.

Under current policy the paramedics should not treat a patient if it is unsafe. However, in this instance the coroner says they should have done more to find out if it was safe to go into the house and treat the woman (06:25, 07:22 and 08:22).

When it comes to England football songs there have been some good and some bad, but how will the latest compare to some of those classics, like Back ±«Óãtv, World in Motion and the mighty Three Lions.

It is called Sing for England all ready for the forthcoming European Championships and it has been written by Kent's Paul Baker (08:53).
