ABAs in Kent, Ashford's shared space and Charles Dickens bicentenary

Dom talks to Dr Eduardo Vasquez from the University of Kent about Acceptable Behaviour Agreements in Kent. Also, Dom looks forward to Dickens 2012 to two Charles Dickens experts.

Dominic King talks to Dr Eduardo Vasquez from the University of Kent about Acceptable Behaviour Agreements (ABAs) in Kent. Kent police signed up over 500 families to ABAs between 2008 and 2010. Some charities warn ABAs could lead to families being evicted from social housing.

Dom hears how a survey on Ashford's shared space scheme shows most people in the town feel it is not as safe as the old layout. Statistics show the number of serious accidents has been significantly reduced.

Also, Dom looks forward to the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens' birth with two experts on the Kent author. Robert Douglas-Fairhurst, who has written Becoming Dickens: The Invention of a Novelist, and Peter Shaw, from the Dickens House Museum in Broadstairs, discuss why Dickens is still popular today.
