What happened when you realised your mum or dad could't live on their own anymore?

We have been hearing about the problem of bed blocking today, when someone, usually an elderly person, is medically fit to be discharged from hospital but there is nowhere suitable for them to go. It is a massive problem in Kent, cases have risen nearly 60 percent in a year.

Did you have to try and find respite care or a full time nursing home place? Or did you take them home with you? Did you know what you were doing?

Did they stay in hospital for weeks even though they were not actually ill any more?
