The Archdeacon delivers the news that soon Adam will be joined by Abigail - a very able, and pretty, young Curate. The Archdeacon is confident that Adam will be able to guide her, enable her and help her to flourish in her new role. Alex is not so keen on her husband 'imparting his wisdom' on the brillant Abi - until she discovers it will mean she'll get some quality time with Adam.
