The ±«Óãtvbase Cornish Memories Garden, designed by Tom Hoblyn

With three Chelsea’s under his belt and one gold medal this Kew trained designer has called on his memories of childhood holidays in Cornwall to create his garden. Planting throughout the garden is reminiscent of the coast and the bleak landscape of the Moors. A large pool represents coastal rock pools and is planted with oxygenators which look like seaweed.

Granite is used for hard landscaping and has large grooves sculpted into it so water can run down from a water feature into the pool. A large pavilion at the rear of the garden is based on the shape of Cheesewrings, natural phenomena found on Bodmin Moor.

This video tour is taken from the ±«Óãtv Red Button coverage of RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2011.
